Shoulder sprains and strains

The structures around shoulder like muscles, tendons and ligaments are working together to maintain shoulder strength and normal range of motion.

Ligaments directly connect bones around shoulder joint and keep stable and strength of the joint, while the tendons anchor muscles to the bones.

When the overstretch of the Ligaments or tear happens causes shoulder sprain. Shoulder strain often occurs when some fibers of muscles or tendons are tear.

Triger point for shoulder pain

The trigger points for anterior shoulder pain involved muscles:

Infraspinatus, deltoid, scalene, supraspinatus, pectoralis major/minor, biceps brachii, coracobrachialis, latissimus dorsi

The trigger points for posterior shoulder pain related muscles:

Deltoid, levator scapulae, scalene, supraspinatus, teres major/minor, subscapularis, serratus posterior superior, latissimus dorsi, triceps, trapezius, iliocostalis

Around shoulder the rotator cuff muscles are the most important and easily to get hurt. The rotator cuff muscle group is composed of the following muscles:
